The Blues Traveled to the Rocky Coast
Last night I drove down to the Cape with some friends to the Melody Tent to see Blues Traveler perform.
I'm a big fan of their album, Four, and I knew that they did other stuff, but didn't know what. It was a high-powered show. John Popper is a shadow of what he once was size-wise. Harmonica-wise, he's better than ever. I just wish that they had played a leeeetle more of what I know and love. They played "Run Around" as a encore, but they didn't play my favorite song of all: "Hook." But I'm not really complaining because they still rocked the house.
Sunday, I'm going to see Mary Chapin Carpenter at the same place. I anticipate a slightly different crowd. :)
