The Line is Busy. Please Hold. Your Call Is Important to Us.
I didn't write anything yesterday because I was actually immensely busy at work. No one understands the data entry program that codes all the donors and volunteers for mailings and stats. Because of this, there are a huge group of people who work with the organization but are not listed in the main computer system. Then there's a group of people who ARE in the system, but aren't coded to get all the mailings. This week, my department realized that there were a bunch of people that they think are important who weren't going to get a report basically because of a data entry dilemma. Of course, I was volunteered to fix everything. The only thing is that the mailing was going out today. That meant entering in a whole list of people yesterday and creating codes and companies for them to be in. I know this sounds confusing. Believe me, it is. It took me all day to figure it out.
Today I spent most of my lunch break bitching about how much money they spend here on stupid things. I have never seen a non-profit that spends more money than they do here on non-program activities like lunch meetings. The money that they spend on food alone could quite possibly fund a whole other program for the needy. OY.
I also signed up for health insurance today. I have to become a resident of Massachusetts again. Just to change my license is going to cost me $90.
The price to change my license when I moved to New Hampshire: $35.
But it's 5:00!!! Time to go home!!!
