The Blues Traveled to the Rocky Coast
Last night I drove down to the Cape with some friends to the Melody Tent to see Blues Traveler perform.

I'm a big fan of their album, Four, and I knew that they did other stuff, but didn't know what. It was a high-powered show. John Popper is a shadow of what he once was size-wise. Harmonica-wise, he's better than ever. I just wish that they had played a leeeetle more of what I know and love. They played "Run Around" as a encore, but they didn't play my favorite song of all: "Hook." But I'm not really complaining because they still rocked the house.

Sunday, I'm going to see Mary Chapin Carpenter at the same place. I anticipate a slightly different crowd. :)

For the First Time EVER
Since this is my initial post I guess that I'm supposed to say something that befits the occassion. (I used "befits" in a sentence to show I went to college and that I mean business.) So, maybe I should have a little history and mission statement about how I got to this blog.

I know people who have online journals or blogs, but I never thought that I would be starting one myself. I kind of thought that it was weird.

And then I got a job that bores me to tears.

So, out of sheer boredom, I decided to start a blog. :) It's an experiment to see how it goes. I think that I'm just going to use it to rant and rave about the world around me. That way I don't have to bother all my friends with mass emails every hour. :)

Because I hate to read intros, I'm posting the link to my website for more...ahem...personal information. If you want to know a little more about who I am and what I've done, you can go there. The site's also called the Emporium mainly because...well, I like that name! I thought that it was really clever when I thought of it, and have decided not to mess with a good thing. :):)

I'll try to spice this blog up as much as I can, but I can't promise anything. Hope you enjoy the world of me. :)
